St Peter's Church Crypt nears completion

Phase 2 of the works to St Peter's Church Crypt in de Beauvoir, Hackney, is nearing completion on site. The local and church community are looking forward to using their new space, including cafe, kitchen, gallery space, admin and rent-able consultation rooms.

Wandle Pavilion granted planning permission

Wandle Park Pavilion's extension and refurbishment will be the newest addition to the recently renovated Wandle Park in Croydon. The pavilion, containing a cafe, public facilities and sports changing facilities has been granted planning permission this week, and will overlook the recently completed greater park.

Refurbishment of School Hall

erect architecture have recently won a tender to re-configure and refurbish the school hall at Coleridge Primary School. The brief calls for a large flexible space to provide a host of additional facilities for the school.

Workshop within the Olympic Park

erect architecture hosted a workshop on site in the Olympic Park as part of the Olympic Park Hub engagement strategy. This event introduced the proposal to members of the Legacy Youth Panel, run by Fundamental Architectural Inclusion. Following a workshop on architectural drawings , members set out the proposed community building physically on site at 1:1, before setting out the openings and documenting the views. The imagined space became REAL!!!

Play Ramp complete at South Norwood Hill Children's Centre

A series of play ramps, tunnels and stairs at South Norwood Children's Centre give parents and children playable access to the terrace above.  This project, designed by erect architecture, was constructed by Grassroots Play Ltd. Following this addition to the school, various other projects are currently being undertaken within the school's campus between erect architecture and Grassroots Play, such as an amphitheatre and bug-farm under a bridge, bike shelters and outdoor class rooms. RIBA Shanghai Windows upcoming

Our second trip to Shanghai is just round the corner and Barbara is getting ready for more Karaoke...
erect architecture are one of nine London architecture practices taking part in the RIBA Shanghai Windows project in Xintiandi, organised in collaboration with the British Council and Shui On Development Ltd.
We worked with South Korean fashion brand Hannii y on an installation in the public realm, which will be unveiled on the 21 September in the Shanghai Xiantandi shopping centre.
