Workshop within the Olympic Park

erect architecture hosted a workshop on site in the Olympic Park as part of the Olympic Park Hub engagement strategy. This event introduced the proposal to members of the Legacy Youth Panel, run by Fundamental Architectural Inclusion. Following a workshop on architectural drawings , members set out the proposed community building physically on site at 1:1, before setting out the openings and documenting the views. The imagined space became REAL!!!

Play Ramp complete at South Norwood Hill Children's Centre

A series of play ramps, tunnels and stairs at South Norwood Children's Centre give parents and children playable access to the terrace above.  This project, designed by erect architecture, was constructed by Grassroots Play Ltd. Following this addition to the school, various other projects are currently being undertaken within the school's campus between erect architecture and Grassroots Play, such as an amphitheatre and bug-farm under a bridge, bike shelters and outdoor class rooms. RIBA Shanghai Windows upcoming

Our second trip to Shanghai is just round the corner and Barbara is getting ready for more Karaoke...
erect architecture are one of nine London architecture practices taking part in the RIBA Shanghai Windows project in Xintiandi, organised in collaboration with the British Council and Shui On Development Ltd.
We worked with South Korean fashion brand Hannii y on an installation in the public realm, which will be unveiled on the 21 September in the Shanghai Xiantandi shopping centre.

St Peter's Church Crypt is on site

The refurbishment of the church crypt of St Peter's Church in de Beauvoir, Hackney is now on site. The works include opening up the community cafe to the Southern Courtyard, and creating a gallery space and rooms for various user groups. erect architecture is looking forward to revealing the original features of the crypt, while creating an accessible space which accommodates the local community. This has been made possible by church fundraising, and funding from Veolia and the National Lottery.


Dexter Road APG is nearing completion

Dexter Road Adventure Playground on Railton Road, Brixton, is nearing completion. The playground erect architecture designed based on dilapidated houses has really taken shape, while the canopy extension to the existing building affords great outdoor space. We look forward to the opening party!


Notre Dame and Streatham Hill Play Areas are Completed

We are happy to announce that the Notre Dame and Streatham Hill Play Areas in Lambeth are now complete and open to the public!

South Norwood Hill Children's Centre wins RIBA Award
